ShieldDB: An Encrypted Document Database With Padding Countermeasures

چکیده
Cloud storage systems have seen a growing number of clients due to the fact that more and businesses governments are shifting away from in-house data servers seeking cost-effective ease-of-access solutions. However, security cloud is underestimated in current practice, which resulted many large-scale breaches. To change status quo, this paper presents design ShieldDB, an encrypted document database. ShieldDB adapts searchable encryption technique preserve search functionality over documents without having much impact on its scalability. merely realising such theoretical primitive suffers real-world threats, where knowledgeable adversary can exploit leakage (aka access pattern database) break claimed protection confidentiality. address challenge practical deployment, designed with tailored padding countermeasures. Unlike prior works, we target realistic adversarial model, database gets updated continuously, monitor it at (or multiple) arbitrary time interval(s). ShieldDB’s strategies ensure obfuscated all time. We present full-fledged implementation conduct intensive evaluations Azure Cloud.

Selective Document Retrieval from Encrypted Database
We propose the concept of selective document retrieval (SDR) from an encrypted database which allows a client to store encrypted data on a third-party server and perform efficient search remotely. We propose a new SDR scheme based on the recent advances in fully homomorphic encryption schemes. The proposed scheme is secure in our security model and can be adapted to support many useful search f...
متن کاملSearchable Encrypted Relational Databases: Risks and Countermeasures
We point out the risks of protecting relational databases via Searchable Symmetric Encryption (SSE) schemes by proposing an inference attack exploiting the structural properties of relational databases. We show that record-injection attacks mounted on relational databases have worse consequences than their file-injection counterparts on unstructured databases. Moreover, we discuss some techniqu...
متن کاملApply Uncertainty in Document-Oriented Database (MongoDB) Using F-XML
As moving to big data world where data is increasing in unstructured way with high velocity, there is a need of data-store to store this bundle amount of data. Traditionally, relational databases are used which are now not compatible to handle this large amount of data, so it is needed to move on to non-relational data-stores. In the current study, we have proposed an extension of the Mongo...

متن کاملAn Authorization Mechanism for a Document Database
A programmable authorization mechanism for an engineering document database is described. The database stores documents and their versions in a commercial relational database. Documents and other objects contain user-defined attributes. Release and approval procedures of the documents are described by means of state graphs that specify the possible states of a document and the transitions betwe...
